Mine on Monday {3/5/12}
Good Monday morning to you all! Hope you got a chance to enjoy the weekend. We had a nice quiet weekend here, for a change. Looking forward to a quiet week here in the office too. Hoping to gets lots of odds and ends done before the craziness of the spring season starts. Anyway, over the weekend I couldn’t resist taking the girls out for a few pics in the tiny bit of snow we have on the ground. And they were quite happy to wear their new dress up clothes outside. So it was a win win. LOL! Enjoy!
P.S. Before you call child protection services on me, the girls are barefoot but on a white furry blanket which blends into the snow to create the effect they are walking on the snow. Their winter snow boots were to the left of the camera on the edge of blanket.

Mr. M {5 weeks old}
This morning I had such a fun session with the handsome Mr. M and his lovely mom. At five weeks old, he’s a bit older than my typical newborn but he was a great model for me nonetheless. He was giving me some awesome eye contact and then he did dose off for a few images. But I have to say my favorite images of him are the awake ones. I mean with gorgeous baby blues like that he’s going to have girls waiting in line for him. Thank you both for a nice morning. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
P.S. That adorable hat in the last picture was made by his mama. She is quite the knitter.
Look at the amazing eye contact he was giving me here.
Getting some loving from his beautiful mama!

And who can resist sweet baby toes!
And this one was too cute not share! His expression is priceless!

The Little Things . . .
——————————–
Enjoy the little things,
for one day
you may look back
and realize
they were
the big things.

I’ve seen this quote hundreds of times. Heck I’ve even wrote it, okay typed it, on things before. But it hasn’t ever really hit me, you know to point where it made me stop in my tracks and say OMG, I totally get it. Until just recently, when I was talking with a another mother at a playdate, (I know so cliché, but it’s the truth) and she simply asked me, “What was it like when they were little? It must have been so hard?” (referring to when the twins were babies ). I sat there thinking of an answer and simply said, “Well, it was busy and crazy but we managed.” The conversation moved on, but I was still stuck, thinking about her question. I was devastated inside, sad, frustrated and even angry at myself. How could I not remember? Why couldn’t I remember any of the small things or anything specific? But the more I thought about it the worse it got and the more upset I got. Then I decided I needed to do something about it, like right that minute! But of course we were at a playdate and I couldn’t, I had things to do. So I went about my day with the those thoughts haunting me in the back of my mind. Later that night, I hopped on Facebook like I always do and that’s when it happened. I saw a session done by a fellow photographer friend of mine, she was sharing a sneak peek from a lifestyle session earlier that day. At that moment I realized I had the answer, that was what I had to do. I’m really not sure why it hadn’t occurred to me sooner but I guess it doesn’t really matter.
You are probably sitting there, thinking, well that’s nice Beth, but what’s this all have to do with me. Well, as you may have already noticed this has really hit home for me. I mean in the way like I really can’t stop thinking about how fast time goes by and how quickly kids grow up right in front of our eyes. So, I’ve decided I need to offer this to all of you and your beautiful families so you will never forget the little things. So a few years from now, when you want to remember the little things, that made today, that made right now, so very special you’ll be able to. You’ll have them to watch and look at and remember….
