Last night I had such a great sun soaked family photo session! It was a hot night and the sun was just gorgeous for our time together. I had the honor of spending time with a beautiful family on their lovely property. We had so much fun.
There were tickle fights and tire swing rides, we made wildflower hair crowns and did a little golf and even some baseball. This family is just plain fun to spend time with. It is always such an honor when a family chooses me to capture their memories for them. Here is just a small peek at our time together.
Yesterday I met up with the sweetest three brothers and their mama for a fun photo session. These boys have a very special bond that was so evident yesterday. Watching these guys interact and hang out together was so fun. There is something so special about the connection between brothers.
I found this quote and thought it was fitting for these guys. “Because I have a brother, I will always have a friend.” Whatever the future has in store for them, they will always have each other.
Thank you guys for coming out for your session. My hope is that you will treasure these photos for years to come.
Last night was such a great night for a photo session with the whole family. The D family that is. The weather was just wonderful. The sun was shining, we had a slight breeze down by the water, it was so nice. Well, aside from the those pesky gypsy moth caterpillars but I guess you can’t have everything, right? LOL!
I love when I get the chance to capture the whole family like this. These type of photos will be cherished as family heirlooms for years to come and that is just amazing to me. Knowing some day, they will look back on these photos, years from now and be reminded of this exact moment in time. Helping them remember all the fun and silly antics from this night. The boys had us in stitches and dad may or may not of forgotten the punch lines to some jokes. 😉
When was the last time you got the whole family together for photos? Has it been too long? I am guessing the answer is likely yes. As a matter of fact, it’s been too long for our family. So I have just a planned a photo session for our whole family this summer too. And I urge you to do the same.
In the end, we only regret the photos we didn’t take. Don’t have any regrets.Contact me today to schedule your session.
Last night I met up with one of my favorite families for a fun fishing family photo session. We used a new location by the river and I have to say I am in love. The light last night was almost magical. During the day yesterday, the sun kept hiding behind the clouds and we even had a quick shower but when it was time for their session all the stars aligned and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
During our photo session we played ring around the rosey, had some epic tickle fights, and did a little fishing. Sweet Miss. L even caught a fish on her first cast. It was crazy. She wasn’t really sure what to make of the fish but dad was quite proud. Mr. O tried his hand at fishing as well, but found that he enjoyed making the pole splash more than catching a fish. Nevertheless, this session was everything a family photo session to be, relaxed, fun and genuine. The images we got are so amazing, you can just feel this family’s strong connection and their love for each other.
Photographing family photo sessions is such a passion for me. Thank you guys for trusting me to capture these precious memories for you. I just adore your sweet little family an hope that you treasure these images for years to come.
Last week, I took my little guy Moose out to do his ten year old portraits. I thought it would be fun to show what ten looks like for him. But unlike his twin sister, he is not a fan of having his photos taken. He reluctantly agreed but insisted on wearing his favorite football jersey and doing photos with his soccer ball. Of course I agreed, and we headed outside to get them done. I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised with what we got.
These photos show just what he is like now. Moose is kind, silly and sweet. He loves soccer and is obsessed with Madden football for the PlayStation. He is a huge Dolphins fan and loves to tease his dad about the Patriots. Speaking of his dad, Moose gets up early every day to play cribbage with his dad. And most days you will find him wearing mismatched socks and a backwards tee shirt.
And just a little note to Moose, buddy, Dad and I are so very proud of you. You have become such a wonderful, kind, responsible young man with a very bright future. Can’t wait to see all the great things coming your way.
Today I had the pleasure of doing two year portraits for sweet Miss. G. I have had the honor of photographing this sweetheart since she was just a tiny newborn. Now, at two years old, she is such a smart and funny little girl. We had a great time playing in her room, where she showed me her favorite toys and even showed how she can count to ten with her flash cards. After that, we headed outside to play in the yard, smelling flowers, blowing dandelions and racing in the grass.
All in all, our time together was a complete blast. Thank you guys for having me over. Enjoy your sneak peek.
This morning I had the pleasure of photographing a darling baby girl. At 9 days new, she is already so strong and ahead of the game. At one point during her session, she actually held her head up on her own. When I arrived at our session, she was awake but after some feeding and soothing she slept like a champ.
I had fun posing her on my blankets and even in a few props. She looked just like a little doll. We got some great shots. Here is a little sneak peek of our time together for her parents. Enjoy!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up they with three families as they celebrated their daughter’s first communion. We did some posed shots of the girls in their beautiful dresses and then some outdoor family shots. It was a fun afternoon and such a big milestone for the girls.
Here is just a little sneak peek for their parents, enjoy!
Last week, our twins celebrated their tenth birthday! Every year around their special day our large apple trees in the back yard bloom. So this year, I thought it would be fun to do apple blossom portraits with my daughter. Although, I have to admit I still can not really believe she is ten!
Photographing tweens and even teens is not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. It is such a delicate balance of capturing their remaining childhood innocence but also allowing a glimpse of their adulthood. When I set out to do Allie’s photos, I garnered her interest by allowing her to wear one of my dresses from my studio wardrobe collection. (She loves dresses and all things girly so this was a win for her.)
I don’t know if it was the dress or what but I can tell you she looked so grown up to me in these photos. Seriously, when I downloaded them and took a peek, I was shocked. Where has my little girl gone? Sure, there are glimpses of her innocence but for the most part all I saw was the beautiful little lady she is quickly becoming.“Let me love you a little more, before you’re not little anymore.” author unknown
So on that note, and before I burst into a mushy pile of tears, I will conclude this post. But first, I want to send a note to her. Happy tenth birthday Allie. Your dad and I are so proud of you and beautiful person you are becoming. Your future is so bright. We can’t wait to see what is next for you. Whatever it is, we know it will be amazing.
