M turns TWO!

Today I spent the morning with M and his parents to celebrate his big number TWO milestone. You may remember him from his session last fall. Gosh how time flies, he’s grown and has changed so much. Today we hung out at his house, where he showed me all his toys, especially his favorite trains, then we met the lovely yard snake(LOL!). We even spent some time monkeying around in a tree where we found a furry caterpillar friend. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, M is going to be a big brother in a few short months. I am looking forward to meeting his new baby brother soon. Anyway, here’s a sneak peek at our morning. Enjoy!

Mine on Monday {5/21/12}

Wow, it’s Monday again! Why do the weekends go by so fast? I guess the old saying, “time flies when you’re having fun”, is true, huh? Anyway, Allie was up for some posing this weekend, (But then, she always is! LOL!) so we did a mini shoot in the tall grass. The light and the weather were amazing. Although, I LOVE these images in color, I just had to create some moody black and whites with them too. You know, just to change it up a bit. I’m sure that you’ve noticed I’m not a huge black and white person these days. I feel like unless there is a real need to express a mood or capture a feeling, color works best for my style. But again, in this case it was fun to create some b&w’s to express her mood, since she is so very dramatic these days. LOL! So what do you think? Do you prefer color images or b&w’s? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Leave me a comment and let me know.

Today I had a fun session with cutie pie Miss. P. It was such a beautiful sunny day. Although I admit it was a bit hot for my taste.(Don’t hate me for saying that!) LOL! Anyway, we had a great time playing, reading and even doing a little drawing. LOL! Here’s a sneak peek! Enjoy!

Layla {A Little Things Film}

TGIF, hope you guys had a great week! I sure did! I was working on the Little Things (Click here for more info) gallery and movie for the adorable Miss. Layla. I am so thrilled with the images and the movie. Such a wonderful experience documenting this family’s life, just as it is right now. And as much as they love these images now, I am certain they will mean even more to them in the future as their cutie grows and changes. Miss. L {Little Things Session}

This morning I had the pleasure of doing a “Little Things” session with sweet Miss. L and her parents. Miss. L is an absolute natural in front of the camera, so we had a great time hanging out together! These “Little Things” sessions are amazing, truly a great experience! Anyway, I could talk all day about how wonderful these guys are but instead, here’s a little sneak peek into our day. Seriously . . . seven?

Today is my oldest daughter, Emma’s, 7th birthday! I find myself really in disbelief wondering how she could seriously be seven? Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday she was born and yet, it feels like a lifetime ago too. If you’re a mom, I am sure you can relate to this feeling. Anyway, I just had to do a quick post to share a few recent images of her. And, I also wanted to write her a quick note, since she’s such a wonderful reader now.

This weekend was our BIG rock-star party for all three kiddos birthday! Man, was it crazy . . . but I’m pretty sure they all had fun so it was worth it! JJ turns TWO!!

This morning I had such a nice morning hanging out with JJ and family. I’ve been photographing him since he was just a few days old so it was pretty crazy for me to hear that he’s now TWO! Man, time flies! Today, just like every other time I photographed him he was such a good model. Seriously, he’s one of the best behaved two year old’s I’ve met. And cute, can’t forget to mention just how cute he is. Anyway, a big thanks to his mom and dad for choosing me to photograph him again. It’s truly an honor to watch him grow.
