The C Family {OpLove Session}

September 5, 2010

Last night I had an OpLove session with the C family. This was a pre-deployment session. Dad is getting ready to deploy in a few short weeks for 9 months. This family is no stranger to deployment as this is Dad’s second tour. Last time he was deployed when little man “K” was just a baby. And now Mom is due to have their second child in December. I am constantly amazed at the strength and courage these OpLove families have. I feel so fortunate to meet each and every family and to be able to give back something to show my gratitude for their sacrifice. My hope is these images will provide some comfort for them during this difficult time. Thanks again C family for a great session. Enjoy your sneak peek.

Meet the adorable Mr. K! This little guy is a ton of fun!
One of the whole adorable family

Love this sunset shot!

And the emotion here is so powerful!

This afternoon I had the honor of photographing an OpLove homecoming session for the “G” family. We started our afternoon patiently waiting for the arrival of the sub along with hundreds of eager families, most of whom hadn’t seen their loved one for 6 months. Then excitement grew, as we watched the sub be directed into port by the tug boats. And finally the moment everyone was waiting for arrived, the soldiers began disembarking from the sub and everyone raced down the pier searching for their loved ones. It was amazing seeing the sheer joy, relief and excitement on all of their faces. I feel blessed to have witnessed such a wonderful occasion. Thank you “G” family, for choosing me to document your special day! Here’s a sneak peek for now. Enjoy!
