The C Family {OpLove Session}

September 5, 2010

Last night I had an OpLove session with the C family. This was a pre-deployment session. Dad is getting ready to deploy in a few short weeks for 9 months. This family is no stranger to deployment as this is Dad’s second tour. Last time he was deployed when little man “K” was just a baby. And now Mom is due to have their second child in December. I am constantly amazed at the strength and courage these OpLove families have. I feel so fortunate to meet each and every family and to be able to give back something to show my gratitude for their sacrifice. My hope is these images will provide some comfort for them during this difficult time. Thanks again C family for a great session. Enjoy your sneak peek.

Meet the adorable Mr. K! This little guy is a ton of fun!

Love this sunset shot!

And the emotion here is so powerful!

Miss. A turns ONE!

August 21, 2010

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing sweet Miss A again. You may remember her from her newborn session. I know I say it all the time, but seriously, one of my favorite parts of my job, is watching these precious kids grown up right before me. It’s such an honor to be a part of these families lives.

Anyway, I’m thinking Miss A. may be destined to be in front of the camera. She was such an easy newborn and we had a great session and today was no different. It took her a few minutes to warm up to me but then she was so into the camera. It was great! Seriously, I have TONS of awesome shots. I have no clue how I will ever narrow these down for her parents. LOL! Anyway, here’s a peek at the first two that caught my eye. Thanks again guys for having me. I’ll be in touch soon. Enjoy!

Miss A.- then as a newborn

Mine on Monday {8/16/10}

August 16, 2010

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope you all got a chance to get out and enjoy the fabulous weather this past weekend! I did, I had sunset sessions both Friday & Saturday and let me tell you the light was magical. I mean seriously it was amazing! Anyway, it’s Monday so it’s time to share pics of my kiddos. Here’s a few I snapped of Moose eating an apple over the weekend. Have a great day!

Fun Family Session

August 14, 2010

Last night I had a fun family session around sunset. It was a great time to have fun with the amazing light available that time of day. We started our session with all the more traditional stuff but once the sun lowered we had fun getting some more artsy types shots. I love how this fun silhouette looks. Check out the cool shadows on the ground. Anyway, thanks guys for a fun night. I’ll be in touch soon to show you the rest. Enjoy!

The whole family

This shot was a bit tricky to get, but so worth it! I just had to share so you guys could see there is no evidence of how this shot was made. LOL!

I’m totally loving this shot!

The adorable “S” kids

August 6, 2010

I had a fun “vintage” styled session with the “S” kids this morning. These guys are adorable and growing up way too fast. You may remember them from their newborn session, well now they just celebrated their first birthday. I know, I can’t believe it either. That has to be one of the best parts about my job, watching all these precious kids grow up right in front of me. It’s so amazing to be able to document all the stages of their childhood and capture them forever in photographs. Alright, I’ll quit boring you with all the mushy feelings swirling around in my head. LOL! Now, without further ado, the adorable “S” kids. Enjoy!

This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing the adorable Miss. L and her family for the Littlest Heroes Project. You can find out more about this organization by clicking here. Miss. L’s story will be featured on their blog in the near future. But for now, here’s a sneak peek for her wonderful parents! It was truly a pleasure meeting you all, hope you enjoy your peek and I’ll be in touch soon with the rest!

Meet the adorable “Miss. L

Here she is with her handsome big brother

And here’s a shot of the whole family.

This morning I had a fun session with the “P” family. Let me tell you, we shot at 9:00 am and it was already unbearably HOT! Like sweat dripping, super gross hot! Thanks guys, you were such troopers. I didn’t hear one complaint the entire session. It was fun hanging with you guys even in this miserable weather. Here’s a few to peek at for now, enjoy!

The beautiful Miss. C – looking so grown up.

This giggle, actually made me laugh out loud at my computer when I saw it! To me, this is the quintessential little girl shot!

And last but not least, the whole adorable family!

If you  follow the blog you will most likely recognize the family from my session today. The “D” family were one of my very first clients when I started my business just about two years ago. I remember coming home from their session so excited and filled with joy. It was right then, in that moment, I knew for sure I was doing what I was meant to do. So as you can imagine, these guys hold a very special place and in my heart. I look forward to their annual session each year hoping to make it as fun and fabulous as the previous one. This year, once again was great. We started our session walking around, talking and hanging out, then things got a bit sticky, LOL! After that we moved on to a fun bike ride and ended our session with some cool drinks on this hot day! Thank you guys once again for a fabulous session and for choosing me to photograph your family.  It’s truly an honor. Enjoy!

“Hanging out with this wonderful family is always a blast!”

“Bubblicious”

“Ahhhhhhhh, refreshing!”

Last night, I had a fun session with the “S” family. I have photographed these guys a few times in the past and they are always a joy to work with and last night was no exception. We started our session having some fun with Dad’s vintage 1970’s car. Then we grabbed some more traditional family shots and a few shots of Miss. H with her cool chickens. Then we moved on to a few more pics of Mom with their new Shelby.  Thanks again guys for having me, it’s always fun hanging out with you guys. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek for now. I’ll be in touch soon. Enjoy!

The whole family

We had some fun with Dad’s cool vintage 1970’s car. ( I processed this with a vintage feel for added effect.)

And last, for Miss. “H”, because I knew you’d be anxious to see this one! Enjoy!

A&R turn one!

July 10, 2010

I had a blast this afternoon at my session with A&R! These adorable twin girls just celebrated their big FIRST birthday! We had planned on shooting at a local park but this crazy weather had other plans. Mom & dad are troopers and rolled with the punches when I suggested we shoot inside at their parent’s house, a.k.a. Grammy & Grampy’s house.  (BTW, thanks Grammy & Grampy for letting use your house!) And man it was totally worth it, we had such an AMAZING session. We started our session with a tea party, then we moved on to some adorable customized cookies which had the girls initials on them. (In case you are wondering, mom scored them at her local Hallmark.) Then the rain let up so we headed outside for a bit more fun and ended our session with a super fun cake smash. Because seriously, it wouldn’t be a first birthday without a cake smash, right? LOL! Thanks again guys, it’s always a blast hanging with you all. Here’s a little tease for now. Enjoy!

“How’s your cookie?”                     –                     “Good, how’s yours?”

“DELICIOUS!”

“TOTALLY!”
