Mine on Monday {6/28/10}

On Saturday, I was lucky enough to have the lovely Lindsay Shaw Lehmann photograph my family. Each year we try to swap sessions so we can both have a few images with us in front of the camera instead of behind it for a change. This years session was a bit like deja-vu because we had almost identical weather. The entire day was sunny and beautiful then about 20 minutes before we were scheduled to start our session a rain shower blew through then the sun came out and gave us some fabulous light to shoot in. Talk about crazy…and it gets better. We show up at the field we had chosen to shoot in to find it covered in clover that matched our outfits perfectly! It couldn’t have been better if I planned it. Anyway, Linds was kind of enough to forward me a few images for a sneak peek and of course I had to share them with you all. Thanks you Linds, I REALLY appreciate you doing this for me and I can’t wait to return the favor! Happy Monday all, enjoy the sneak peek!

Baby J {7 weeks old}

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing sweet 7 week old baby “J” and his family. Mr. “J” was such a happy, easy going little guy. He was wide awake when I first arrived so we were able to get some great family shots and then he took a “cat nap” and allowed me to snag some sleepy shots too. Here’s one of the whole family. If you look closely you can see a pic of J’s big sister on the wall. It’s crazy how much they look alike!

Fashion Friday {Maternity Outfit Ideas}

TGIF, it’s been another busy week but the sun is shining and it’s shaping up to be a great weekend. I can’t wait! We are actually having our family photos done this weekend. So excited! (More on that, Monday.) But for now, I thought I would do a different Fashion Friday geared to all the expecting mamas out there. Here are some great ideas and tips for what to wear to your maternity session.

First of all, I always recommend you bring 2 -3 outfits. It helps give your session variety. I suggest bringing a dress, then a pair of jeans and a couple of your favorite tops in assorted colors. Accessories like scarves, jewelry, hats and great shoes really help add interest to your outfits.

Mr. M turns one! {cake smash session}

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing the adorable “Mr. M”. He is getting ready to celebrate his first birthday and mom wanted to get some photos done to remember this special occasion. First birthday/cake smash sessions are so fun! They are almost like a right of passage or something. And Mr. M’s session was no exception, we got some great shots of him playing in the yard and then headed for the CAKE!!! He was super serious with his cake, it was so funny. I mean he was all business, he doesn’t mess around when it comes to cake. (A boy after my own heart. LOL!) Anyway, thanks guys for a fun morning, enjoy your sneak peek. Mine on Monday {6/21/10}

Happy Monday night! I apologize I didn’t get this post up sooner but it was kind of a crazy day. Anyway, on Saturday we took the kids to Purgatory Chasm …don’t ask! (insert eyes rolling here) On the way home, we stopped for ice cream and here’s what happened….enjoy!

What an adorable little man!

Last night I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the adorable “J” at his home. I have to start by saying when mom told me she wanted to schedule her session for 5:00 in the evening I was quite hesitant. I mean a 7 month old baby at that time of the day…yikes! But boy was she right, he was an absolute joy to photograph! He was so happy, smiling, laughing and just awesome the whole time. So thank you guys for an amazing session. The pictures are beyond incredible, I just know you are going to love them all. Here’s your sneak peek for now. Enjoy!

The G Grand-kids

This morning I had a fun session with all the grand-kids in the “G” family. Grammy planned this session to surprise grampy and all of her sons for Father’s Day. Isn’t that sweet? Normally 5 kids would be a challenge, but these kids were great . . . seriously! I mean I got some awesome group shots and individuals. Mine on Monday {6/14/10}

Happy Monday everyone! It’s yet another dreary day. I am so bummed, this lovely weather caused me to reschedule all my weekend appointments. I have so many fun sessions planned, I am hoping the weather turns around soon, so I can get back to work. Anyway, as promised I thought I’d share a few family snaps from our big trip to Storyland last week. Wishing you all a wonderful rest of your day!

I’m Back!

I just wanted to pop on and let you know, I’m back from vacation! It was a very nice break and we had a great time. I’ll be sharing some pics on Monday. In the mean time though, stay tuned to the blog for some sneak peeks. I was supposed to have a session today but the weather had other plans. If the weather cooperates, I will have two sessions tomorrow. So keep your fingers crossed for me, K?
